The sealant can be used in a thin film alongside a primary seal to stop ingress of salt water or water into the joint between the battery lid and the case. The sealant allows for easy disassembly of the pack lid if the battery pack requires servicing
Non setting Hylomar AF Spezial can also be used for sealing all joints subject to corrosion such as electric motor sealing. It also has excellent oil resistance.

That’s enough to fit out 300,000 electric vehicles and create over 1,200 direct jobs. This output is in step with Europe’s growing demand for batteries for e-mobility and stationary storage.
The Verkor Gigafactory will make its mark as the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory thanks to its data architecture and unprecedented levels of industrial digitalisation.
